I moved from Tel Aviv to Lisbon and started working at a new company about a year ago. Learning Portuguese through websites just wasn't cutting it for me; I needed something more personal. That's when I found Ben at Como Um Nativo. With absolutely no background in Portuguese, I began classes with him twice a week, joining small online groups of less than ten people for one-hour sessions. In just six months, my progress has been incredibly fast—maybe that's unique to my experience. Ben was great from the get-go; he gave me an initial call to lay out how the courses would be structured, which was super clear—he even offered the first session for free. The materials used in class are diverse, covering theory and practical exercises like essays and speaking practice. Ben's approach kept me really engaged throughout the learning process.

I've been taking online Portuguese classes with Débora at Lingua Language Classes for three years now, as I live in Portugal and my boyfriend is Portuguese. The convenience of having lessons from home once a week is perfect for me. Initially, the sessions were an hour long but have been increased to 1:30h. Despite being in a small group of 3 or 4 students, Débora makes sure the instruction feels personalized to my learning journey, even shifting me between groups to match my level when necessary. The structure of the class works well for me; it starts with homework review and correction, followed by casual conversation—like discussing what we did over the weekend—and wraps up with grammar taught through games or integrated into our discussions. I appreciate how Débora remembers personal details and always follows up on things I've mentioned in previous classes. Overall, she creates a comfortable learning environment that I genuinely enjoy.

I've been taking weekly Portuguese lessons with Miguel Flor de Lima for the past four years, and I'm genuinely impressed. He's extremely professional and great at what he does. Even with a full schedule, he's always been accommodating when I needed to change my lesson times. Every class is different and personalized to my learning needs—we use three main books, but Miguel also shares additional materials through Teams and prepares each lesson thoroughly. In our classes, we do a variety of activities; we read news articles, listen to songs, and spend a lot of time discussing the week's events. It feels very tailored to me. I highly recommend his services if you're looking for engaging and well-prepared Portuguese lessons.

I've been taking 1:1 online sessions with Cláudia Martins for over three and a half years, usually twice a week. Cláudia has been excellent in ensuring that I fully grasp one concept before moving on to the next. Her approach to teaching is dynamic; she uses books, videos, and songs to make learning enjoyable. Plus, she cleverly integrates grammar into conversation, which helps keep it interesting. Homework is a regular part of the process, but it's helpful for reinforcing what we cover in our sessions. As someone working in real estate here in America, I find her lessons incredibly valuable and have even recommended her to my colleagues. She's not only an outstanding teacher but also very patient and always on time for our Skype calls. I highly recommend her services to anyone looking to learn effectively and enjoyably.

My wife and I have weekly online sessions with Cátia Silva, and we couldn't be happier. It's convenient that we can do them from separate rooms, making the experience more personal. Cátia is incredibly flexible; she always checks in with us on how we want to structure our lessons, whether it's focusing on day-to-day conversation or grammar nuances. The range of materials she provides keeps things interesting, and the homework options are a great plus. Though there are free Portuguese classes available to us, they just don't compare to the customized approach that Cátia offers. She has an amazing ability to answer our questions clearly, no matter how complex they might be for our level. We've seen a lot of progress thanks to her dedication and would wholeheartedly recommend her services to anyone looking to learn Portuguese in a way that truly caters to their needs.

I took individual Portuguese classes with Madalena to work on my conversation skills, and I must say, she did a fantastic job tailoring the lessons to my needs and comprehension level. What stood out to me was how relatable our conversations since we are around the same age. This made learning not just easier but also quite enjoyable. Madalena introduced various learning strategies that helped me practice even outside of our sessions. She's really good at explaining different concepts. Overall, she's not only skilled but also a very nice person to learn from!
