I've been using Agnes from +One for over a year now, and honestly, it's been a game-changer. Initially, my wife and I weren't sure about getting a full-time nanny, but Agnes opened our eyes to the benefits. The service she and her business partner, Stefania, provide is outstanding. When our daughter was six months old, they presented us with several great nanny options and we found the perfect match. Agnes has become more than just a service provider; she's like family to us now. Ever since we moved from Costa Rica to Portugal two years ago, she's been incredibly supportive. Our nanny is with us every weekday from around 9 am to 6 pm and has formed such a loving bond with our child—they even have daily park visits! Communication is seamless too; through our WhatsApp group with me, my wife, and Agnes, we get quick responses and top-notch advice whenever needed. We didn't hesitate to increase the payment when our second daughter arrived because of how much we value their service!

I reached out to Agnes from +One when I needed a nanny for our summer travels, and she quickly connected me with Marielle. It was reassuring to know Marielle had experience working with Agnes's own children. So far, on our three-week holiday, Marielle has been very helpful and adapted well after initially feeling out of place at our friends' houses. The only concern is that she can't swim, which could be an issue in emergencies. However, overall, she seems reliable. Agnes herself has been very responsive whenever I needed to get in touch. With a young child to care for, it's been great having someone like Marielle join us on vacation.

I've used +One's services three times now for part-time help, about 25–30 hours a week. My son is nearly three, and this year we decided to get some extra help. Agnes' team member, I think her name is Stefania, is not just a nanny; she also handles basic household tasks. She helps with cooking, puts the kids to bed, and plays with them. The first time we needed her services, my wife was home. But after that experience, we felt confident enough to leave the house and enjoy some freedom. It's great because my son speaks Portuguese and so does the nanny. The last time was in July; my son even asked about her afterwards, which shows he likes her too. Communication has been smooth every time we've needed their service. I recommend this service to everyone!

Why we created Locallista?

As expats, we understand how overwhelming it can be to settle into a new city, where even simple tasks become difficult without a network, complicated by language barriers and cultural differences. That’s why we created Locallista — a closed platform where expats connect with trusted service providers recommended by the community, ensuring clear communication in English or their native languages, making life easier.
