I've been seeing Maria as my dentist for over a decade now, and honestly, I couldn't be happier. I have a real fear of needles and a general apprehension about doctors, but she's always made me feel at ease. She's not only great at what she does—I've had an implant, a root canal, and several cleanings—but her office is also top-notch when it comes to cleanliness. What really stands out to me is the personal touch; she gives out her personal number for rescheduling or if we need to reach her during the weekend. That level of care means a lot to me!

I've been visiting Durval Goncalves at Medidinfinita Lda since 2017, mainly for routine cleanings initially. But then I needed braces, which required extracting a tooth to straighten things out. I got the braces during the first year of COVID and wore them for almost three years. After that, I switched to a removable one on top and got a permanent retainer on the bottom. Now, I go back every six months for maintenance and check-ups to see if any adjustments are necessary. Most recently, Durval repaired a broken tooth of mine. All procedures have gone smoothly with no problems—I always feel safe and comfortable there. The clinic is clean and well-organized, and I've never experienced any delays.

I've been taking my family to Rui's dentist office, and we’ve had great experiences. The staff is really nice, and Rui is very gentle, so none of us have ever felt any pain during our visits. We go there for regular cleanings and yearly checkups, and my husband has had a few procedures done for dental concerns—all handled well. The clinic is clean, which makes me feel safe going there. Rui explains everything in English clearly, which I appreciate, and they’re quick to respond to messages on WhatsApp. Plus, the prices are reasonable compared to other dentists in Cascais; they charge local rates rather than expat prices!

I've been a patient of Doutora Maria Betânia for over 7 years, since I was pregnant with my son. She's always attentive to whether I'm in pain during treatments and makes sure her dental office is spotless and well-organized. The staff is friendly, and rescheduling appointments is never an issue if something comes up. Maria does an excellent job explaining procedures to me, even in English when needed, which really helps put me at ease. My son also loves going to her; she's great with kids and teaches them how to care for their teeth in a way they understand. We're both very happy with the care we receive from her.

I recently visited Rui's dental office and had a really positive experience. The dentists there were very understanding and quickly figured out the best solution for my problem, which was more cost-effective than what my previous dentist suggested. They took the time to explain everything clearly, making sure I understood the procedures. The office was clean and organized, and scheduling an appointment was easy with little to no waiting time. I've never had to go back for any corrections; the work has always been done perfectly on the first go. Overall, it’s a great place for both check-ups and specific dental issues at a fair price.

I've been seeing Maria as my general dentist since I moved to Portugal earlier this year, and I'm really impressed with her services. She's taken care of my regular cleanings and checkups, and skillfully fitted me with crowns for some weak teeth. Her office is always spotless and orderly, which makes each visit comfortable. What stands out to me is how accessible she is – being able to reach her on WhatsApp is super convenient. She was the first dentist I visited here and based on my experience so far, I don't plan on looking for another one anytime soon.

Why we created Locallista?

As expats, we understand how overwhelming it can be to settle into a new city, where even simple tasks become difficult without a network, complicated by language barriers and cultural differences. That’s why we created Locallista — a closed platform where expats connect with trusted service providers recommended by the community, ensuring clear communication in English or their native languages, making life easier.
