I recently attended a series of movement classes by Renato at Drama bar and it was a great experience. It wasn't just dancing but also incorporated theatrical elements and body awareness, focusing on the four elements: fire, water, earth, and air. The group consisted of about 12-15 people and thanks to Renato I felt comfortable and at ease throughout the session. No matter how stressed I was before walking in, I always left feeling reenergized. Renato made a point to ask us how we felt at the end of each session and genuinely cared about providing a good experience.

I've been attending Renato's movement classes for about two years now, going about once a month. Each class has a new them, which keeps things interesting. Sometimes Renato has his own playlist and sometimes there's a DJ setting the mood with music – it's a really cool experience. As someone who struggles with memorizing steps, I appreciate that these classes are not about getting every move perfect but more about expressive movement and feeling free. It's quite interesting how relaxed and inspired I feel afterwards, it's really therapeutic. Renato is clearly a professional who has been doing this for years, and his expertise shows in how he conducts his classes. If you're looking to breathe out and find relaxation in movement, this is definitely something worth trying out.

I've been hosting Renato from the Free Movement Club at my cultural space in Graça for his movement class, and it's been a fantastic experience. The classes are held once a month with electronic music that encourages everyone to let loose and playfully explore movement, almost like we did as kids. I personally tried out a class and loved it so much that I invited Renato to a music festival I organize. More than 20 attendees have given glowing reviews. There's always a mix of regulars and newcomers who are equally impressed by the healing power of moving individually yet together. Renato's charisma really lights up the room; he really holds the space together. His classes offer more guidance than a typical ecstatic dance session, incorporating metaphorical elements and acting as movement therapy—it’s both fun and profound. We’re excited to have him back in September! Working with him has been nothing but professional—I've even collaborated with him on other projects without any issues whatsoever.

I attended three sessions of Renato's movement classes. The workshops are designed to help us explore our body's movement in new ways. It really felt like an opportunity to free myself, moving in ways I normally wouldn't. Renato is excellent at creating a comfortable space where you can push past your usual boundaries, even when you're among people you've never met before.

Why we created Locallista?

As expats, we understand how overwhelming it can be to settle into a new city, where even simple tasks become difficult without a network, complicated by language barriers and cultural differences. That’s why we created Locallista — a closed platform where expats connect with trusted service providers recommended by the community, ensuring clear communication in English or their native languages, making life easier.
